#6 The Wall
This portion of the settlement is called "the wall" because this large wall was of original construction and stretches from the upper cottage area down a mild slope, turning left and lining one side of the altar area. It's a large L shape.
In the photo, the "larege wall" is on the left and farther left are the altar and oracle areas. On the right, is the upper area we've named the "cottage" area.
Just outside the Oracle area is an area of excavation which has been radio-carbon dated to 2000 BC.
The rains naturally flow down the carved groves along this pathway. The whole settlement was designed to drain away the rain water. Perhaps to a collection point, but remember that this area was originally surrounded by a swampy marshland.
